This ad can be Pathos and Logos because this can make people emotional because they might have family members that smoke and they are scared the following items listed might happen to their loved ones. I find it cool how they chose a picture of someone reloading a gun, but instead of using bullets like a gun would usually have, they chose cigarettes. I think this is because cigarettes and a gun have something in common. They can both kill people. The reason this ad can be logos is because it does make you think. It makes you one step closer to not smoke or to stop smoking if you have already started. Also, this gives you some facts what smoking has done to people.

I do agree with your choices, but i also think another reason they might have chosen the gun to be loaded with cigarettes, is because when you think of a gun, you think of something people fear. A gun is powerful and has control over life and death, people are scared of guns and hope to never have the experience of being shot. Your death would affect so many family and friends, and the GUN is what can cause that grief. I think by showing that the gun is loaded with cigarettes, the illustrator was trying to convey a serious message: that cigarettes have the same affect as guns; they can kill you easily, they are powerful and it is easy to become addicted, they can negatively change your life and the lives of many others, and when they hit, they hit HARD.
